+ Going, Going, Gone - Finished my internship earlier this week. So gutted to be leaving, as I've made some great new friends and had some at times testing but fabulous experiences, but, it just got to a point where I felt I needed to move on and keep learning...hopefully we will all stay in touch and I wont be on the job hunt for too long...I can't bare not having structure.
+ Rocky Horror - On Tuesday I headed to South Wimbledon theatre to watch the 40th anniversary show of Rocky Horror and it was a-mazing! I'm a big fan of stage shows and this one was so much fun. I really recommend going to see it, its touring all over the UK (back to London in April) and the tickets were really reasonable (about £20 w/ booking fee). Dancing, singing, fancy dress (ok, so we didn't - it was snowing, but so many others made such effort and they looked awesome), drinking and laughing - what more could you want for a Tuesday night?
+ Twenty Two - I manage to avoid those January blues because my birthday always comes round so quickly after Christmas. Although 22 is not an age to particularly make a fuss of, we still celebrated like it was :) and coincidentally I share my birthday with my older twin brothers so it always feels like Christmas take two. I spent the morning at the gym working out and swimming before mass cake consumption, then my mum took both of us off to get pampered (manicures all round), we then joined my brothers and dad to drink champagne, open presents and over indulge on cake (I made a chocolate fudge one YUM) and finally, we all headed to The Carob Tree (greek cuisine) with my sister and cousin for a slap up family meal. All in all, a day to remember...especially when the entire restaurant sang us Happy Birthday (cue red face).
+ Mexicans, Mad Hatters and More - To celebrate my brothers quarter century and my turning 22 we threw one of the oddest themed parties known to man. All I can say was much tequila and fun was had and a sore head followed. Picture post to follow. + WARNING - Movie 43 has got to be the worst and most utterly pointless film I have ever seen. Do not be fooled by the impressive cast list, it was a waste of money and my poor boyfriend is now £16 poorer and not a happy bunny.
The title of this pretty much says it all...they are literally EVERYWHERE. From celebrities to the average Joe we have succumbed to the unbelievable comfort/coziness and reverted back to our baby selves in the never ending variations of all-in-ones.
I wasn't convinced at first (still not sure if I am) especially when Primark stocked what only looked like baby grows for adults but, as onesies have come into fashion the styles have excelled and there seem to be some really great ones out there. I have not taken the plunge and bought a 'serious' one (you know, something that you could feasibly been seen in public in), but I did find an awesome brand back in 2011 called Kigu whose fun animal themed designs are the ultimate comfort buy (well made and fantastic in the Winter), you will however look like some deranged escaped animal but nevertheless, check them out (here).
I also can't turn without someone labelling themselves a GEEK or a NERD. I'm by no means against mainstream shopping or bagging something which is in current fashion but, I remember picking up a slogan vest almost a year ago...and now look at them fly off the shelves. If anything their popularity has put me off wearing mine because; A) It's awkward to be looking back at someone wearing the same thing as yourself (trust me I had a painfully embarrassing train journey where FOUR people on the coach were wearing the same coat as me!) B) People are styling them so well (intimidating or what!)
But hey ho, its always fun to be ahead of the craze!

+ Snow Day Lame- I spent my entire quiet, gym orientated week super excited for this weekend. I had made some great plans (a big girls night out on Friday in Mayfair and some friends from University were coming to London for the weekend). Sadly because of the heavy snow fall on Friday all of these plans fell apart and everything was cancelled/postponed until better weather. As you can imagine this was seriously frustrating. You'd of thought it was the apocalypse here in London (Note to self: do not go to the supermarket when snow threatens...it's a mad house).
+ Shop/Drink/Chill-a-thon - This weekend wasn't all bad, I was on a mission to not let the snow entirely ruin it. I spent Friday having some mother/daughter time; we cooked a curry, had some drinks and watched Magic Mike (ladies, if you have even the slightest inkling towards Channing Tatum then this is the film for you! Phoarrr). To cheer myself up I turned to the best kind of therapy, retail therapy; I have now sorted my birthday meal and birthday party outfits, completed birthday shopping for my brothers (Yes, all born on the same day. No, not triplets.) and treated myself to the odd sale item (Zara/Aldo/Forever 21 sales are still AMAZING). Also, managed to squeeze in an early dog walk in the snow, a lovely catch up with an old school friend at the pub and a cheeky Chinese takeaway. + Bring It On - Tonnes of great stuff coming up next week (snow permitting) so I am thoroughly cheered up after the bad news Friday brought. Birthday celebrations, cinema/beauty salon trips AND to honour the 40th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show we are going to see the stage show in Wimbledon. I'm still debating whether or not I'm brave enough to dress up?!
So somehow its fast approaching the end of January and just around the corner is my 22nd birthday. I swear I was only just celebrating my 21st out in Marrakech?! But hey ho, I'm not going to complain about an excuse to eat cake, have lots of lovely gifts and be the centre of attention (well aside from the fact I share my birthday with my older twin brothers, coincidence or what eh!)
Anyways, these are some things I've been lusting after. Feel free to send one or all of the below. Ideally these two bad boys would come first;
However, I would appreciate these pretty things too...
Missguided Blue Norah Star Jumper
American Apparel Black Crossover Body
Killer Heels Zara/InLoveWithFashion
Benefit Goodies - Highlighter, Bronzer & Primer
I am also after a hair treatment for split ends (maybe a leave-in conditioner or something)...any recommendations?!
I was pleasantly surprised a few days ago when the wonderful Sophie put me forward for the Liebster Award. I didn't know much about the Lieb (ha!) before now, but I'd seen it circulating and think it's a great idea to get us, lesser known blogs, get discovered and networking! I hope you will take the time to have a look through but i'll admit it's on the hefty side so no worries if not, I'm just glad you found your way to my little corner of the web :)

+ Aches And Pains - Unlucky for me I woke up with three locked joints in my neck earlier on this week (not the best start to 2013 eh). However, with the help from an osteopath, an ice pack practically glued to my neck and lots of rest (two days off work) I am feeling a hell of a lot better. An early morning trip back to the osteo tomorrow so fingers crossed she'll click me back into place.
+ Fire And Stone - Aside from the fact I couldn't really turn my head by Thursday, I did make it to this wonderful, insanely tasty Covent Garden based Pizzeria. I would highly recommend this little gem (you can find it on Maiden Lane - just behind the central piazza) with its themed worldwide destination pizzas there really is something for everyone. So much so that my mum (who is allergic to gluten) loved it just as much as me. We had a small and large glass of wine each, mixed olives to start, a main each (the Florence pizza for me and a feta & walnut salad for her) and a side (polenta chips) which overall came to about £50 which I think is really reasonable for good food in London. If you're ever in the area then go visit and you won't be disappointed!
+ Sheffield And Bargains - Made my way up north for the weekend and was pleasantly surprised with how many bargains me and my boyfriend stumbled across. Miraculously we managed to both get an entire outfit each from H&M for under £20, we were all over the M&S Dine For £10 and late night Saturday supermarket shopping meant we got what was supposed to be a £40 shop for about £15! Today we are off to try the new Fancie that's opened up on Ecclesall Road and then head into town for some teapot & teacup shopping (if you follow me, all will be revealed on these unusual purchases in the next few weeks).
