+ Ah Push It - Fully aware that GFC is to cease shortly, so this is a little push from me to say, pretty please give me a follow on bloglovin' CLICK HERE. Thanks! + Firsts and Repeats - Took my first trip down to Derby yesterday to meet with a friend from University which was so lovely! We spent the entire day shopping and eating our way around Westfield (not as good as the London ones but had everything you'd need from a shopping centre). Surprisingly I didn't spend my entire wages, quite restrained for my usual self! Pretty quiet one otherwise, excited to spend the evening with the boyfriend and tonne of TV movies. + Pola-Polaroid - Just started a Polaroid wall in my new flat and am hoping guests will join in and sign and date their photos...fingers crossed I'll be filling up some of the empty white space! Know of any easy do-it-yourself decor? Do let me know!
I don't know if it's just me but has the good old polka dot made a fashion comeback or what?! Its definitely slowly but surely consuming my wardrobe!
The simple, circular pattern has stood the test of time and is one of those perfect prints which works for pretty much any item. Trust me, I've managed to acquire polka dot trousers, blazers, tops, dresses...the lot!
Polka dots always make me think of the 1950s, a time when the pattern was in all it's glory. Fear not, the pattern has made it's return (with a modern twist, of course) and I couldn't be happier!
Here are some of the pieces I've had my polka obsessed eye on...
I headed down to London last week, Kentish Town to be exact, to attend the Aliya.J launch party at the rather swanky Annie's Bar. Apologies for the mish-mash of photos but, I was so distracted and then drunk that most of these are stolen from my friend who was photographing the event!
Lie - Rosalind - Me
Aside from copious amounts of food and drink, there was also a make-up artist on hand, nail technicians giving a quick fix and a masseur (coincidentally my brother) relieving any neck and back ache from our heels!
It was so lovely to catch up with everyone and see the company finally come together.

+ Slap On The Wrists - Inevitably because of my move and new job, blogging has been put on the back burner recently BUT I'm really keen to find the time to blog and have lots of posts lined up! + Non-Stop - I took a mid week trip down to London to attend my old company's launch party (post coming soon) and it was so lovely to catch up with friends and family but saying goodbye is always hard! Fear not, I am returning on the first May bank holiday! Sheffield has been good too...I've finally got round to joining a gym so can't wait to get back into running and with only two months until I go to Turkey, I need to get working out! On a less healthy note, Friday evening was spent with the boyfriend, wine and wii (we are such big kids!). I also had an extremely random but fun night out last night and so today has been centered around bed, eating and 4OD!
+ M.I.A - Taken a little step back from blogging this week whilst starting my new job and getting settled in to my new flat but I will be back and blogging regularly soon! I'm still finding little bursts of time to read some of your lovely blogs so do send me your links :). + Settling In - This week has been a bit of a roller-coaster and I'm absolutely wiped! Really enjoying my new job, although it can be a bit scary being the 'newbie'. + Update - Loving being back in Sheffield and taking full advantage of what the city has to offer. Went to see The Place Beyond the Pines at the Showroom cinema on Friday night. It features my good friends Ryan Gosling (who'd of thought he could pull off blonde) and Bradley Cooper...not the most uplifting of films but a really good watch. Had a couple visits to the pub and loving the H&M 50% off mid season sale (printed trousers galore)!! + 1D - I was at Sheffield's Motorpoint arena last night for work to get some video footage for the venue and guess who was performing? Yes, One Direction. It turned out to be such a hilarious night interviewing many over excited teens (and parents). Sadly, I missed my first night out back in Sheffield as I didn't end up getting home until really late.
Bonus points go to me for choosing a flat which sits directly opposite the ultimate spa but even more, extra special points go to my mum for surprising me with a treatment to unwind after my big move to Sheffield. I was booked in for a Swedish back, neck and shoulder massage which was unbelievably relaxing and luxurious. My masseuse was really accommodating, making sure my experience was as enjoyable as possible (all the important things were asked - pressure, comfort etc...). Spa 1877 isn't just about the treatment, its about the experience! The building itself is pretty impressive as it was once the baths of Sheffield and still remains grand inside and out. After completing a short generic medical form, you are directed to a greeting area where you are given a basket filled with a robe, towl, shoes and a locker key. Next, you are directed to a chic and clean changing room where you are free to change (and shower) at your own leisure before heading to the 'Relaxation Room' (my kind of room!!). This is the ultimate stress free environment - lantern and candle lit, magazines galore, comfortable seating, complimentary cold and hot drinks, subtle music, the list goes on... It is here you are collected by your therapist and led to one of their many treatment rooms. After you have been treated to one (or more, if you are lucky) of their treatments you are free to freshen up, change and leave or head back down to the 'Relaxtion Room' for some more peace and quiet! Spa 1877 offer a vast range of treatments (accommodating both men and women, including a special pregnancy packages) and have a range of facilities (Plunge Pool, Hammam, Ice Cave, Sauna). I will most definitely heading back! Pros: Luxurious interior, friendly/helpful staff and unlike anything else I've experienced in Sheffield. Cons: Fairly expensive and advised to book in advance.
VR x Note: Photos taken from Spa 1877 website - would have been cheating on the relaxtion if I took my iPhone in!

+ Moving Mayhem - This week has been utterly hectic! Trying to juggle a move up North, packing and unpacking, more spending than you can imagine, a social life and time to prepare for my first day at my new job has been a struggle but here I am, sat in my new flat, totally unbelieving that this is all real.
+ Spa Surprise - Sadly my mum couldn't come up to Sheffield to help me move in but generously (and unexpectedly) she booked me in for some much need relaxation at Spa 1877 (post coming soon!) with a 30 minute Swedish back, neck and shoulder massage...exactly what the doctor ordered! + Gratitude - I owe thanks to so many people for helping this move happen without a hitch! Just to mention a few; big love to my mama, papa, boyfriend and all my beautiful friends (especially the ones in London who I already miss ALOT).
